When I started my legal career, one thing became very clear to me—law is often taught in a way that feels complicated and disconnected from real life. Students memorize sections, but they struggle to connect law with practice.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, I noticed that law students had very few options to learn online. There were only a handful of YouTube channels teaching law, and most of them lacked clarity, structure, and innovation. This made me think—Why not create a space where law can be taught in a simple, structured, and practical way?”

That thought gave birth to Teachmelegal (earlier known as Lawyer Prashant on YouTube).

My goal was not just to teach law, but to make it understandable, interesting, and useful. I started using:

  • Simple language instead of jargon

  • Charts, visuals, and timelines to explain concepts

  • Practical insights from my experience as an advocate in the Supreme Court, High Court, District Courts, and Tribunals

Over time, Teachmelegal has grown into more than just a YouTube channel. It has become a community of learners—law students, aspirants, and young advocates—who want clarity and guidance in their legal journey.
